History and fun are integrated in an imaginative retelling of the much-loved classic fairy tale. Puppetmongers set the story in 1834 Upper Canada, just as “Muddy” York is to be renamed Toronto, where the very Canadian Cinderella is expected to cater to every whim of her newly-arrived stepmother and sisters. True to the original tale, with a little magic and some imaginative special effects she does get herself to the Ball, and to the satisfying conclusion of the story. The play is ingeniously staged with a traditional marionette theatre that transforms, as the story unfolds, to create scenes evoking the wilderness, settler life and early Canadian society.
Cinderella in Muddy York is recipient of a Citation for Excellence in the Art of Puppetry from the Union International de la Marionette-USA, and twice nominated for Dora Mavor Moore Awards.

See bricks do tricks in one of the silliest shows on earth, in this complete miniature one ring circus performed by highly trained building bricks. Yes, common building bricks in itty bitty sequined costumes, flying through the air in incredible acts of derring do! Be amazed by the Acrobatic Bildovitch Family; awestruck by the Beautiful Madame Brikaskova on her High Trapeze; terrified by the Wild Brick; astounded by the Unbelievable Contortionist… and much much more!
Guaranteed to stimulate imaginations and spark participation in true circus style, this hilarious extravaganza has already warped the minds of several generations of audience across Canada, around the US, Wales, the UK, Belgium, France and Holland.
For the adventurous audience, The Brick Bros. Circus takes the definition of puppetry to its logical extreme; the most inanimate objects performing in the most active style of theatre – it will expand your concept of puppet theatre!

Foolish Tales for Foolish Times - a Winter Holiday Show
Following in the ancient tradition of the season’s Lord and Lady of Misrule, four classic tales of misadventure are combined in Foolish Tales for Foolish Times to take the audience on a journey of venerable folk wisdom, in a celebration of our shared humanity. These stories are presented in a deceptively simple, low-tech style that belies the artistry of the Puppetmongers, the play highlights how we humans can overlook the obvious when we worry needlessly about the impossible, take advice without thinking, or use yesterday’s solutions to solve today’s problems: these traditional tales have it all.
Each of the stories in this richly imaginative production is playfully told with Puppetmongers’ trademark witty fashion using a different style of puppetry, from human-sized to hand puppet, table-top to kitchenware.
This show is guaranteed to please the young and young-at-heart alike, aged 4 to 104!
