Description

Laced with Puppetmongers’ inimitable humour and delightful storytelling, Bed & Breakfast is a charming feminist adaptation of The Princess and the Pea, set in a magnificent miniature mansion of the Edwardian era. Older children are intrigued by the captivating detail – tiny working period light fixtures and a steaming bathtub – while younger children are entranced by the story, transfixed by the power of make-believe.

With a plot featuring entitled royals, an upstairs/downstairs romance, an epic journey and inter-generational misunderstandings, this is a tale with a heart-warming resolution that appeals to all generations.

*Please note, masks are mandatory in the theatre*

This delightful production has been awarded a Citation of Excellence in the Art of Puppetry from l’Union International de la Marionette, has received two Dora Award nominations, and was shortlisted for the Chalmers Award.
