- Walidad the Grass Cutter at Brentwood Public Library, on May 18 at 2 p.m.
- Fresh Ideas in Puppetry Day conference and festival will be on May 26, at the Robert Gill Theatre. Also hosting the AGM of UNIMA Canada.
- Toronto School of Puppetry’s Spring Intensive will be incorporated into Humber College’s Puppetry Intensive
WHAT’S ON NEXT SEASON
- Cinderella in Muddy York will be available for school touring in October and November 2013
- Tea at the Palace will run at Tarragon Theatre: December 16 to 20 for school groups, and December 26 to 29 for Family Audiences.
- Walidad the Grass Cutter will be available for school touring in May 2014 for Asia Month
WHAT WE HAVE DONE THIS SEASON SO FAR
- Whole Shebang Festival – November 23, 24 & 25 World premiere of Monger Memories, a 10 minute shadow piece about Ann and David’s memories from Hong Kong in 1955-56.
- Not exactly a Puppetmongers production, but a group outing to see The Old Trout’s new production of Ignorance
- Cinderella in Muddy York played at Theatre Passe Muraille for the Winter Holidays
- In January Ann presented the annual puppetry demonstrations to the theatre and theatre tech students at Humber College and Sheridan College
- Puppetry eXploratory Laboratory (PXL) program started at the end of January and runs until late May’s Fresh Ideas in Puppetry Day
- Workshop for the drama department of the University of Guelph in February
- Monger Memories played at the Trois Jours de Casteliers Festival in Montreal, March 7 to 10. We also ran a workshop on halogen shadow puppetry at the festival.
- Foolish Tales for Foolish Times March Break: 2 show only on Saturday March 16, at 2:00 and 4:30, at Zuke Studio.
- Residency in a Cambridge (ONT) public school in April.
